Megan Osterman
Meet your therapist,

Megan Osterman, MA, LMFT

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist aiming to make therapy a safe and authentic place where you can be yourself.

Approaches Used

About Me

I use a person-centered, systemic, feminist lens to view all the various factors that influence your mental health. I believe that therapy is a partnership between you and I, so treatment is catered to your needs. I bring a casual, authentic, light-hearted, and warm approach to therapy so you get a more personal experience. I will always meet you with empathy and compassion, and create a space where you can be your authentic self as well.

Attachment Styles

Emotionally-Focused Therapy

Drawing from the principles of Attachment Theory, I will assist you in understanding how your past experiences have shaped your current relationship patterns. By exploring attachment styles and fostering secure attachments, you can develop more fulfilling and satisfying connections and heal from your past.

Relationship counseling, couples therapy

Gottman Method

I am also trained in the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach that focuses on building strong relationships through effective communication, conflict resolution, and emotional intimacy. By identifying and addressing potential relationship roadblocks, you can learn to navigate challenges and deepen your connection with your partner.

Narrative Therapy

I will incorporate Narrative Therapy to help you reframe your life stories and challenge negative narratives that may be limiting your growth and well-being. By exploring alternative perspectives and empowering you to create new stories, I help you develop a sense of agency and resilience.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, and other issues.
